What is Redwood LIFE Redevelopment
In 2019, Longfellow Real Estate Partners, a real estate developer acquired Bayshore Technology Park (previously known as Westport) on Marine Parkway, between Bridge Parkway and Shell Parkway in Redwood Shores along the Belmont slough, and renamed it Redwood Life.
The 3.3 million square feet proposed plan is to demolish the existing buildings over a twenty-five year period, and replace them with 15 five to six-story buildings, some over 100 feet tall, dedicated to biotech and labs.
The plan includes a 102,620 sq. ft. 104-room hotel.
The amount of working space will increase from about 1 million square feet to 3.1 million square feet with a minimum of 6,909 employees. Based on other life sciences developments in the area, the number of employees can reach 13,800 employees.
